  1. I found Restream in the tools section here and was wondering can it be used to convert a 480x480 SVCD to a 352x480 CVD without re-encoding the video....

    TIA

  2. Using restream I was able to change the resolution of a SVCD from 480x480 to a CVD 352x480. It only took a few seconds...BUT when I watch the new CVD mpeg on my computer or TV via set top dvdplayer, there is alot of picture garbage on the right side of the image...

    Anyone else try this ?

You can't change the resolution with ReStream. ReStream only patches the headers. Your SVCD is still 480x480 but now your players think it's 352x480.

Resizing can't be done without re-encoding.
