  1. hi,

i am from an independent record label and we have recorded our first video - however the video producers have been stupid and not made sure the audio sync

i jus got a dvd burner because i need to make copies to send away 2mrw. Therefore - don't know too much bout the whole dvd process - but extremely good with comps anyways

all i need to know is how to rip the dvd (audio + video seperately) without losing any quality and then i can use the appropriate editing tools.

    thanks

going for a jog so won't respond to queries within the next hour and half

  2. If you are lucky you might be able to alter the audio delay with IFOedit. Other than a simple fix like that, you might have to live with re-encoding.

  3. If the sound and video is out of sync from start to finish, it's repairable, but if it's gradual, usually it's not fixable.

  5. If it is out of sync the same exact the whole way through, there are other programs such as MPEG-VCR that will let you offset the audio from the video to get it back to sync. You will have to find out how much and then offset it. Finding out how much can be fun. Look for something like a door slam. You can use TMPGEnc to view the video while showing the audio graph to try to find the right spot. It's not easy, but can be fixed if you want to take the time.
