  1. I recently backed up a DVD using DVDDecrypter and InstantCopy stripping out unwanted trailers and full screen version. I have a good backup with menu and titles and wide screen movie. I now want to use InstantCopy to backup the backup. I keep getting the following error message: The system cannot find the file specified (80070002). I tried using IFOEdit but now I no longer get the menu and titles. Does anyone know a method of backing up a backup?

Wouldn't a regular disc copying utility, such as Roxio's Disc Copy feature, do the job? After all, your current copy is on a 4.7 GB DVD that is not encrypted. Use your favorite disc copy utility to copy it identically to another 4.7 GB DVD.
Tools used: ScenalyzerLive 4.0, Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0, Adobe After Effects 7.0 Professional, Adobe Encore DVD 2.0, IFOedit 0.96, DVD-lab PRO 1.53, Adobe Audition 2.0

just use dvddecrypter to rip all files and then use dvddecrypter again to author the new disc. IC7 is unecessary since your source is a DVD-5.

edit - actually, if you still have the files from the first burn, why not just use them again and burn a second disc?

Hummm... Fair use states that you can make a single (meaning "one") backup of copyrighted material. You are stating that you want to make another backup, which would not be technically legal. You better have a second copy of the original DVD standing by when the "thought police" invade your home.

Maybe IC is just trying to protect you from yourself.
