    Most divx files are too big for nero,What is the best way to split files to burn or put on cd-rw?????

    Best tool is TMPGEnc. You'll find lots of info on it on VCDHelp site.

    To cut a divx you should rather use VirtualDub.

    As a newbie to video editing I find avichop by far the easiest to use to cut large files into multiparts
