  1. Ive recently received some wmv files that wouldnt open unless i entered a l/p or something.
My question is how was this aplied to a wmv file, i mean how can i secure a video file, and is there a way to unlock these files now?

  5. Be careful, it's also become a great scam for harvesting personal information. Send out a free clip, "just send us your information to unlock." Or others are promising cheap content, "First run movies at rental prices". Just send us your credit card no., we'll charge you $3 and the movie is yours........

Like BJ_M said, it's the new DRM stuff. But it's already being used for scams (besides just the the music and movie industry scams :P ) If you don't know the souce for sure. Just delete the file. It probably isn't what it says it is anyway.
