  1. i want to know how to rip(can i use any old dvd ripper) a dvd that is pal 0 and burn it as a regular us dvd, ntsc i think thats the name? any help is appreciated

    in dvdshrink it says region free, could that do it?

  2. not exactly an easy question per se. Sure you can rip using any dvd-ripper, and burn away, will it work? Probably not, Pal is 25fps 720x57(6?) and NTSC is either 23.976 or 29.97fps 720x480.. Some dvd players can play PAL just fine, most can't.. test on a RW first, otherwise do a search for "PAL to NTSC conversion".

    i've never done one personally, but there are some good guides around that explain it pretty step-by-step.

  4. That would probably work, but it looks geared more towards SVCD, just whenever you see anything about resolution you would use 720x480 instead of 480x480, and a larger bitrate.
