I heard a rumor a while back that Yamaha wasn't going to make any more CD-RW's and instead move on to DVD. However, I checked their website and there's no indication this is happening.
Has anyone heard anything about this?

Yamaha is going to sell standalone DVD recorders (the DRX-1 and DRX-2) according to the following link, but not likely to sell any PC DVD burners with cut-throat competition and paper-thin profit margin:
