  2. Is there not a difference between CDG and CD+G ?

I always thought CD PLUS GRAPHICS was a rarely used addition where low resolution bitmaps of say the CD cover were imbedded into the "unused" subcodes which could then be displayed on a suitable player, mainly the CDi ones that never really caught on.

I only have one disc with this on, Fleetwood Mac's Behind The Mask IIRC, and I found a DOS utility many moons ago that claimed to play the graphic element. However my drive at the time did not extract those subcodes and I never got it to work.

Are we sure we're all talking about the same thing here ?

claims that it will play cd+g discs, i tried it on 5 different drives (3 computers), none of them worked.

i think cdg & cd+g are the same thing, kareoke cd's.

if you're looking to copy the cd+g discs, i would suggest alcohol 120%

You can use a free download of Audigrabber to copy any CDG to your computor. Once You have CDG file you can use a free download of winamp to play them...... there is a download option you can download from the win amp website that will allow you to have the words displayed while the song is playing.
    Hope this helps.

Dizzy1, it doesn't do much good to post a reply in a 2 year old topic. Those posters have likely figured out their problems some time ago. Please post to more recent topics in the future.
