hello all, i am considering replacing my GForce TI4600 with an ATI 9800 PRO. Both have 128/mb. The GFORCE is AGP 4X while The ATI is AGP 8X. I know what advantages the ATI has over Nvidia as far as video capture and TV tuner, but are the graphics the same?? Which one has better graphics.

Not that this is a forum where I would expect to see this question -- most people believe the image quality of the ATI Radeon cards to be superior to that of the Geforce line of cards.
However, it's a matter of personal taste. I did find that my 9800 produces slightly better color saturation, but you can also adjust the "digital vibrance" in your GeForce4 with the right software.
Some people claim it produces a sharper 2d picture, but I didn't notice much difference. However, I only run my desktop at 1024x768. If you run yours at a higher resolution, you may see a difference.
Most people think the Radeon also produces a better 3D picture too. I didn't notice a tremendous difference, but I do think it's a bit better. The 9800 is definitely a faster card for gaming, if you are into that. -
I used to have a geforce ti 4200 128mb and replaced it with a radeon 9800 pro 128mb and the picture is sharper at 1280x1024 so i say its better for 2d as well as 3d.
