  1. is there a tool around for editing mpeg's with (property of)warnings on and timers as such without turning it to avi?
    ive already tried useing v.dub mod.
    any help will be gratefully apreciated.

    if all you are doing is removing sections of the mpeg...say removing commercials from captured television...you can use tmpgenc merge and cut function. go to file then mpeg tools then merge and cut.

    The best mpeg editor I have used is Womble MPEG VCR. Before Womble I used Honestech Mpeg Editor which is pretty good as well.

    it is usefull.
    but what i want to do is (crop out) the (property of) warnings that pop up at the bottom of screener's without having to sve it as a avi when edited as you do in v.dub mod.

    In that case use TMPGEnc's "clip frame" filter. However you must still re-encode your file which will decrease video quality. You're better off using Virtualdubmod if you want to preserve quality, unless you have to have an mpeg.
