  1. Absolutely NOT. Jeex is one of the members i respect the most here. Simply because he (let's assume jeex is a HE ) is saying what is on his mind regardless of consequences. He's not hypocritical, will not stab you in the back, will not try to please anyone and is original.

Hmmm, he should be a mod here .

Last time I checked everyone in America has the right to free speech. I'm in america...so he can say whatever he wants.

Being a jerk is subjective. I don't think he's a jerk and if you do....well there is a little avatar on the left...if you see his name...don't read the post.

Besides...this is a message board, all information is useful, if you don't like the tone or the words used to express the idea, then you really aren't hearing what it being said.

Jeex...just say it like you mean it!

I think it is time you Americans actually look up what "Free Speech" means. It does not mean a free for all... Your government makes it illegal for you to say a whole lot of things.

Besides...this is a message board, all information is useful, if you don't like the tone or the words used to express the idea, then you really aren't hearing what it being said.
You also have agreed to abide by the AUP. If you break it, we can boot you off.

Since this is Baldrick's place, if he doesn't like the way you brush your teeth, he can ban you too (though I don't recall that happening that often... ).

I think Jeex has made an art of dancing in the grey area -- we've had many discussions on a number of his posts on whether they deserved a warning or not... Anyway, Jeex is almost part of the institution now... I voted "no"...

~I said, I'm in america....therefore meaning, I am not offended.

There are many things you cannot say, agreed. However, most are aimed at the threatening of government officials or some kind of violent act against society.

Recently in Minnesota or Wisconsin a student was suspended from school for something first day back to school and during lunchtime, with all the other students present, he openly and loudly called the Principal a b!tch, a tramp and some other explitives...the school district suspended him and now they are in court because of the school infringing on his right to free speech. I never said the system was without flaws but I'm pretty sure it covers anything Jeex has said on this forum.

Not that I am going to get into a political discussion over this but:

"The most basic component of freedom of expression is the right of freedom of speech. The right to freedom of speech allows individuals to express themselves without interference or constraint by the government. The Supreme Court requires the government to provide substantial justification for the interference with the right of free speech where it attempts to regulate the content of the speech."

    ~from Cornell University's website

"You also have agreed to abide by the AUP. If you break it, we can boot you off."

~not debating the power of the moderator or the power of Baldrick. If you guys don't like Jeex then you can boot him off, you can boot all of us off, that's your perogative.

~I appreciate his approach because many times in my profession you get wishy washy people who try very hard not to offend and it takes them 10 minutes to say something that should take 2 minutes.

In any event, I am not offended...I voted no.

This is true and this applies to here in Australia, Britain, Canada, New Zealand and most of Europe.

We still can't be completely free on whatever we want to say, such as to slander someone or to make defamatory remarks. If you do, you'll liable to be sued.

Even the Australian Government does frown on some members of the public from public commenting on such things which would be objectionable.

We are lucky that we can provide "Freedom of Speech" not like in some countries which an individual doesn't have any freedom of what to say at all and no freedom on what can do in life.

I've seen some evidence that the Australian Government does interfere or to constrain on some individuals to express themselves. This is when freedom of speech becomes objectionable, inappropriate and does goes over the line.

A person can be on a high office in a job, in an authority and in a Government office.

Someone can say whatever like privately or on a private website forum such as here and on any other forum such as one in Australia and we still have limits by the rules.

I don’t think Jeex should be banned and he is welcome here.

I don't want to have a political debate...I pretty much say what is on my mind 100% of the time and I'm sure I offend people pretty much on a daily basis...read my signature

And I do agree that on a forum such as this speech is not free, it is governed by Baldrick and the other Mods and well since it's his place it should be...but I also do not think it is right to want someone banned just because his words sometimes offends some people. Like I said in my first post in this thread...you don't have to read what he writes if you are offended by his words then don't read it....everyone here does have the right of "free-reading".

I don't really know Jeex, have read some of his posts and I was not offended, but I am not easily offended. I've had more than one player who was trying to be encouraging to teammates but it came out like "look dumbass....." you have to hear what is being said, rather than HOW it is said and sometimes that's not so easy to do.

Oh well...none of my business really anyway.

  24. I love jeex.

My recent thread confirms this. Anybody who thinks otherwise doesn't understand jeex and the way he thinks.

I also happen to be his legal counsel, so I can pretty much say what I want about him.
