I have been converting some of our vhs tapes to dvd and seem to have a problem with audio dropping out. I use a panasonic e50 to capture to dvd-ram. I then copy to my hard drive on my pc and use dvd-lab to author and Gear to burn it. It works in every dvd player I have, but I have sections on the video where the audio will drop out completely for a second and then play fine again. I use Ritek G04 media. Any suggestions on what this could be from. Should I try burning with different software? Any help is appreciated.

By the way, I have no audio dropouts when playing back from the dvd-ram. It has to be somewhere in the authoring or burning process. I am upgrading my memory from 256 to 512. Could only having 256mb of memory cause any problems? If anyone can recommend dvd burning software that might be better than Gear, please let me know.
