  1. Hey guys I have the LVD-2001 player that is supposed to play divx movies. I
joined to divx parts together to make a full movie to put on a dvd-r. I used the dvd data selection in Nero and when I put it in my player the video is awesome but however there is no sound whatsoever. What can I do to get sound out of this. I got this player to just play divx movies burned right to discs. Do I have to convert this divx movie because of the ac3 format it has???

It's worth a shot, don't you think? It's pretty easy to do. Just open your AVI in Virtualdub, select "Direct Stream Copy" on the video menu and "Full Processing Mode" in the audio menu. For audio compression you might want to go with mp3 and at least 192kbps since you are writing to DVD. Another option would be PCM WAV but mp3 is the safer bet for compatiblility with your player.

  3. I did what you said but the only thing I am finding in Virtual dub is when I select MP3 and I put a check mark in the show selections it only goes up to 56 kbits and thats it...can't get nothing higher. Any ideas on what to do about that???

Try installing this. It's the Radium mp3 codec.

By the way, in case you're not sure what to do with the zip file, extract the contents into a folder and right click the LameACM.inf file and click "install"(assuming you are using WinXP).
