  1. Well I have a an avi and I want to make it a dvd mpeg when I open the avi in vurtual dub and take the audio of it then open it in tmpeg and make the mpeg I get no sound why

    Did you configure Virtualdub to use the audio stream within your AVI file?
    Or did you demultiplex ("save .wav") the audio from your AVI file?

    Can you explain the problem and the process of conversion a little more...

    Check the avi with Gspot. What's the audio codec? AC3 maybe?

    Two methods to convert the AC3 to wav, here. I prefer Goldwave, it's simpler.

  6. yeh I did that but when i make the mpeg the audio and the video to match the audio plays at different times form the video why

    Are the audio & video the same length? Is the whole track off the same amount throughout the movie or does it get progressively more and more out of sync? Did you do any kind of frame rate conversion when you encoded your AVI to MPEG2?
