After ripping the DVD using DVD Decrypter, I used DVD2AVI to convert the vob's into D2V & WAV files as instructed by Sefy's DVD Ripping Guide. Then I installed VFAPI Reader Codec - v1.05 and ran the batch. Then reboot my PC.
I ran the VFAPI to create the dummy AVI files. When I opened the VFAPI program and clicked on "Add File", under the Files of type, there are only two options: "DVD2AVI Project File (*.tpr)", and "TMPGEnc project (*.tpr)". It doesn't have d2v as an option and therefore I can't open my d2v file.
What am I doing wrong here? Please please help.

The instructions for DVD2AVI suggest that you leave DVD2AVI.vfp in the same directory as the application (DVD2AVI.exe). On DVD2AVI startup, the plugin (DVD2AVI) is registered as VFAPI plugin.
Like this:
------------------
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VFPlugin]
"TMPGEnc"="C:\\Ut\\Video\\TMPGEnc\\TMPGEnc.vfp "
"DVD2AVI"="C:\\Ut\\Video\\DVD2AVI.dg\\DVD2AVIdg.vf p"
"AviUtl"="C:\\Ut\\Video\\AviUtil\\aviutl.vfp"
------------------
If the DVD2AVI.vfp plugin isn't in your DVD2AVI directory it won't automatically register.
Check you registry, then check to see if you have DVD2AVI.vfp. If they're both OK, re-download. Maybe it got corrupted.
An alternative, place DVD2AVI.vfp in the TMPGEnc directory, it usually registers anything with a *.vfp file extension.
