  1. Hi all
I am near nervous breakdown stage here due to audio synching problems. I am converting vcd to dvd compliant mpeg using tmpgenc. Most films I am converting are ntsc so I use ntsc mp2 audio. It seems however touch and go whether they are sync or not. What i want is a way to make sure this never happens at all (everything in sync). Would I be better to demux, encode the 2 streams separately and then remux, or what?

VCD video is DVD compliant. You'd be better off leaving it alone and authoring the mpeg while only re-sampling the audio to 48 KHz. Here's a guide.

  3. Yeah, I thought about that but when I try to enter the mpegs into tmpgenc dvd author, I get the following message - the video sequence header is incorrect (gop) etc etc.........I cant ignore it either.......is there a way to patch this so it is acceptable?

Did you follow my link to the guide? There's a note about that in there, if you still have problems then maybe ask Lordsmurf at his site.
