  1. Hello, im new to these forums i really what you have got going on here
    I have a few question so just sit tight

    anyway im having trouble with burning a Vcd in Nero5.5, i will try to add a mpg file to the list and it wont work.? i have taken screen shots to show u what i mean, any help would be great!

    - that is what happens when i add try to add the file,


    - this what happens when i try to play the file in windows media player, it will play the file but it sends the prompt message

    -this is what should happen when i add an mpg file


    - and when i get the file into the list what should i make the amount of seconds be for the track..?

    I am also having trouble with creating the menu in Nero5.5 i created the menu but when i burnt it it wasnt there..?

    I also read the tutorial on this site but it was unable to help me,
    I have VCDEasy but i find Nero easyer to use,

    And what is a good Freeware program that can play VCDs and most other video files?

  2. I have the same problems as you. Hope someone answers. I also sign in at Nero forums, but I can't access anything. It says I must sign in first, lol
    Then Nero won't let you make a SVCD unless you buy a plug in. That's BS!

    The files you have were, I'm guessing here downloaded from the internet.

    Many of these are not encoded to VCD and SVCD specs. To get these to burn to disc so you can use them in a standalone player, you will need to re-encode them to make them compliant. I suggest using TMPGEnc to re-encode them. Look in the Tools section on the left side of the page to get TMPGEnc and in the Guides section for info on how to do the re-encoding.

  5. If the file is already MPEG1, then run it through either M1-Edit->Tools-> repacketise or TMPGenc->MPEG Tools to correct errors.
