One of my partions is 61.5 gb and I select all the files on it and it is 7.79gb but when I check how much space is taken up on the partition, it is 16.5. It is not my primary partition either. All the other drives are show correct amount of space but not this one. Does anyone know what takes up the space.

I got nothing in recycle bin and no system works, only the nav antivirus.

  4. You probably have XP's SYSTEM RESTORE turned on for that drive and files used to be able to "roll-back" your system are taking up that space.

Ripper2860, I think you right, I just checked and system restore is on for that drive and it matches the amout of space. Do I need system restore for that drive if I got no system files on it. I just keep my AVIs, mp3s and stuff like that on it.

  7. No -- just if you install programs to that drive. If it is just Data -- no need to have it enabled for that drive.
