  1. Hi again,

Following some advice from my first post I've downloaded a trial version of Ulead Video Studio 7. The capturing quality is heaps better than the software I was using before. However, I have no sound at all. Not before, during or after capturing. All the settings seem to be correct, it has recognised it as SB Live Wave Device and the volume settings are all fine. Can anyone help with this? I seem to have great video quality but no sound, which means I'm half way there now!!

    Thanks heaps.

The only time I ever seem to get that problem is when I forget to change the volume recording device back to the correct audio input (mic, line in, etc.).
    Hello.

Thanks for the reply. I can't see anywhere in Ulead to actually change the audio input. It's strange. I go into PCTV and the audio is not a worry. I go into Ulead and there is no audio at all.

I should have been more clear.

This how my Recording input is selected on my XP system.

  6. Yeah, I had a look at it and it is set up the way it should be. As I said, when I use PCTV (the capturing software I had been using before) the sound is there, but not with Ulead. That makes me think it is a problem with the Ulead software somewhere, but I don't have a clue how to deal with it.

I guess I deserved that. I was hoping for an answer like composite, S-video, or DV video. Or stereo, mono, etc.

    Video Composite.

Using Ulead all I can see with regards to Audio Input source is a pull down menu that only has "SB Live Wave Device" as an option. I can't see any option like the "TV Playback Input" or "Sound recording input" with PCTV that is always set to Line-In. The audio is comming from a mono VCR with a tape recorded in mono.
