  1. I am trying to convert an AVI file that was downloaded into an MPEG. I have tried to use TMP GENC but is says unsupported. I have tried AVI2VCD but that does not allow me either. How do I convert this file and what is the best tools to use. I have also tried to decompress the audio but it still will not work after this. I must be doing something wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

    See if it will open in Virtual dub mod and then frame serve to TMPGEnc.

    Check the file with Gspot and make sure you have the codecs, then raise the Directshow priority in TMPGEnc..link below.
