  1. Hi everyone, I'm having a little problem with using svcd2dvd. I'm trying to put 7 vcd onto one dvd with a separate vts and menu button for each vcd. The finished dvd plays perfectly fine on my pc. However, I can't select/highlight any of the menu buttons on my dvd player, Sony dvps-7700. I have the demo version, which I know disables some key features such as ff/rw and next. But does the demo version also disable button selection on stand alone dvd players? If that's the case I'll gladly donate to get the full version. I really need to know what's the problem though, thanks everyone.

  2. Well, I decided to donate and register for the full version, but still no luck. Tried burning the dvd again but still can't select the buttons on the menu screen. Anyone know a work around this? thanks for reading

  3. I've got the same problem with the registered version. The menu's work o.k. when I play the dvd on my pc, but when played on my standalone dvd-player (Philips DVDR980), I can see the menu's, but can't select anything.

Have you tried the 120 frames encoding setting?

  5. Yes, because with the original default setting, the menu only appeared for a few seconds before the first track started playing. I found the "120 frames" settings advice here on the forum. So now I can see it, but not select anything on the DVDR980

What about the numeric keypad on the remote. Does pressing the numbers initiate the buttons?

  7. When the menu appears, the first item is initially "highlighted", but the highlight disappears after a few seconds. No items can be selected. When I press the numbers on the remote control, a 'X' appears at the top left (from the dvdplayer), indicating that that option is not available.
