    I've been using Microsofts DirectShow filter graph builder.
    Trying to connect together codec to do video conversions of avi to mpeg.
    Any one had any luck doing this? Seems like an nice easy way to put things together.

    Hmm...Seems very geeky and interesting.
    I'm stumped on how you can encode MPEG video/audio via Directshow filters? What Directshow based MPEG encoder are you using? YMPEG? When I installed Sonic MyDVD version 4.0 and ran 'sysenum.exe' tool I saw that some Directshow based Ligos and Mainconcept MPEG encoders were in the list.

    well most of the software I've installed is installing these codec.
    and you can use them from the filter graph.
    Its really quite simple... Till things go wrong.
