  1. i have a movie which is on a 700mb cd.its burnt as data,when i copy it on to my pc its fine.but as soon as i try create a vcd with it,i drag it on to nero and it expands to like 3000mb in size.how can i fix this? pls help

  2. truly, you havn't given nearly enough information to receive a very helpful answer. You need to be more specific and descriptive.

    I'll take a couple of shots with the info you have given:

    You said avi on a data cd so I'm guessing a highly compressed movie. Probably a DivX or XVid encoded video.

    If you are truly trying to somehow plug it into a VCD template in Nero and getting an estimated 3GB product, then the movie has to be approaching 5 hours in length....doesn't seem very likely.

    However, if you are trying to slip it into a DVD template, then a 3GB taeget is more plausible....especially if the movie is much closer to 1 hour in length.

  3. i said everything i know.the movie is avi.i burnt it using nero and burnt it as a data cd.the data cd is 700mb.i now want to take the movie from the 700mb cd and burn the movie as a vcd,but every time i drag it from the 700mb disk on to nero it suddenly expands to like 3000mb.the movie is only an hour long.i dont understand what other info i can tell u.

    my guess is you're plugging it into the dvd template of Nero rather then the VCD template. 3 gb for about 1 hour is around the right file size for a high bitrate DVD.
