Hi All,
After much expense, i'm still trying to record my vhs movies onto dvd using Radeon 9800SE VIVO card - bugbear = macrovision.
Today I bought a HOLDAN VideoMax £35uk ( www.holdan.co.uk ) anti-macro device. Its self powered (dc powerpack) and connects between the output and input cabling, it does work in a fashion.
However, the macro signal doesnt appear to be totally 'removed', using either MMC or VDub the preview screen and recordings are still mildly affected by the macro signal. Damn.
Would this setup work instead................
Vcr to HOLDAN to dvd player (Cyberhome ADL528) to Radeon card?
My Cyberhome player is 2 1/2 years old and doesnt have a passthrough mode, but does have two scart sockets. What would the dvd player do the incoming and outgoing siganls? Would it help me at all?
Any advice welcomed,
Thanks,
B.
