suggestions please

i gonna buy a capture card but am not sure what to get..i just want to put some old fight tapes on dvd and vcds and maybe some things straight from tv which i have satellite,,i ve seen cards in 50 bucks range,,but am not sure if they'd be good or what i need exactly,,,any help is appreciated

I could suggest my card... as many others would, cause whoever owns what will say its the best.
