I have 2 dvd rips, Crocodile Dundee and The Gift I have downloaded. When I open them in Virtual dub to convert to wav they wont convert. Here is the file info
Audio Stream - 48000 Hz
Channels- 2 stereo
Sample Precision 0 bit
Fraunhofer IIS MPEG Layer 3 codec
Preload skew- indeterminate
# of frames indeterminate
min/avg/max/total frame size indeterminate
When I open in WMA it plays fine. I have tried using toolame in Tmpge and let it encode for a few min and stopped
to test, but I have no sound when I play it in WMA. Am I missing a step or a codec here. I have insatlled Krystal Sudio. This is the first time I have tried Toolame so I'm not sure if I did something wrong. Any help is really appreciated.

Heres another problem. When I split the divx file with avichop it will no longer play with windows Media Player.

Virtual wav doesn't convert things to wav. It strips the audio out of the AVi. Open the AVI in v-dub, go to the file menu, and hit "save wav".
Use a .mp3 extension for the saved file for your convenience...
Then, use winamp or whatever to save it as a raw audio wav. Then try again.
