I'm not sure but the CMC in the Media code doesn't look good... I could be wrong but I think that is what I have read

scroll down till you get to the BAD ( I believe it was Lordsmurf's post ) ... CMC is listed first -
Thanks man.
I never had issues like the SOB's. Memorex is starting to pisss me off.
lots of my backed up movies are pausing , skipping towards to middle or end of the movies. I feel like I am running PRINCO quality $hit. This upsets me man. damn...............................*New Mac user*, been PC user 4 life -
I bought a 25 pack of those Memorex a while back and they were also CMC discs. My Sony drive flat out rejects them and my Pioneer 105 will sometimes start a burn then fail sometime during the burn. I managed to get one disc to record all the way through on the Panasonic E50 DVD recorder so now I'm one good disc out of about ten attempts. As for Princo I have burned near 200 of the inkjet printable 4X DVD-R all at 4X and not one bad disc.

Looks like Ritek G04's are my only good ones. I am sticking with Riteks*New Mac user*, been PC user 4 life -
AFAIK, Memorex do not make media - they buy it in from someone else (ie CMC in your case) and stick their labels on it.
Similarly, I treat all CMC discs with some caution. -
This is weird also.
I run these movies that are failing on my stand alone dvd player (Daewoo 5800), but when I pop any of my dvd-r's in my PC DvD-Rom it all plays fine and dandy!!.lol
Anyways.. seems like my luck with my stand alone dvd player are Ritek's
I guess it is only online ordering for me since no store in town carry Riteks*New Mac user*, been PC user 4 life -

Another loving, caring and heart warming post from garryheather...
Garry STOP !!!....I'm getting all warm and fuzzy inside..
Garry's right though....using a DVD-Rom drive as a guide to good and bad brands of DVDR's...especially when used as movie backups....is NOT the way to look at it. -
Doh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just found out the the OPTODISCK001 were my TDk's dvd-r
I won't use them no more also*New Mac user*, been PC user 4 life
