Just made my first backup (Planes Trains and Automobiles!) using DVD2SVCD and Nero 6. I noticed the Movie folder had over 30 files in it. 2 large .mpg files and 2 .bin files. I used the muxed .mpg files and the result was great! Would there be any advantage in using the .bin files instead? And can I delete all the other files and still make SVCD'S with just the 2 that are left?

The .BIN files should have matching .CUE files and can be used in Nero or similar burning apps to burn a disc image dierct onto CD. They are the result of the conversion of the .MPG files to SVCD by DVD2SVCD itself. The advantage of havig th raw .MPG files is so you can use a alternative authoring app if you wish such as VCDEasy, Ulead DVDWorkshop, or Nero products, so you can add menus, chapters etc yourself.
You can always extract the .MPG files from the .BIN files by mounting them in Daemon Tools and using VCDEasy, VCDTools or Isobuster, so your choice which ones to keep. -
yeah use the bin and cue files u can mount these on nero's image drive if uve got it enabled ( bin and cue r like a virtual cd, put very simply) but this will allow u to watch the movie to check it before u burn it also
