  1. My question is: is there anything I can alter when DVD X Press Platinum copies the original DVD to the file and before I do the burn to the DVD-r so if I wanted to make a copy of the DVD-r copy later on I can. I already know I can move the DVD file to another folder so it does not get written over then burn it with other copy software. When you make a backup copy then try to make another copy DVD express won't let you do it because of the header information. Any suggestions on how I can alter the hard drive copy before I burn it to DVD-r???

You can't make a copy of a copy if you use xpress both times. What you can do, however, is use nero to make a copy of a copy (it's really easy). Of course, many people here would suggest you don't use DVD X Press at all...

You know big I don't know why people think that of DVD Xpress. I have a Pentium 4 with 1 gig of fast cache DRAM and I can make a copy of an original in about 45-50 minutes and it's a perfect copy and has not gliched once so far. There was 2 discs that I could not copy with Rescue. "In the bedroom" I got some kind of encryption error, and T3 had some files on it that would not copy. Other than that it works great.

  4. A friend of mine uses Xpress and I do not have problem copying his copies. I have a Sony 500a and I use RecordNow Max to make a direct copy. I've burned at 2x with no errors(over 8 movies)

And if you plan on makeing a copy of your backed up Xpress movie it will still remove the Intro Screen . You just have to direct it to the files on your pc . I know a lot of people that use DVDXCOPY Xpress just because of its ease of use and they dont want to miss with Re-authoring a movie ..
