I have an ATI AIW Radeon with composite and S-video Inputs. Also a sony Digital8 camera, with s-video, composite, usb and Dv outputs. I dont have the PC right now, its being repared. So what would be the better way to capture my videos. s-video capture to make an MPG-2, or use the USB to tranfer it? (i don't have firewire card to capture it from the DV output digitaly). But, the USB will transfer it digitaly, or will it be "captured"? I have got good quality making "Capture" with s-video, directly to dvd format. Ive read that DV makes transfer, not capture, so it gives better quality. If its worth, ill buy a card.
