  1. Hi,

I have tried BS Player since I was told it can "suppress" subtitles. The problem i encountered is that all files (mpg, svcd, avi) are played upside down. In the FAQs it says it's maybe a divX problem but with powerDVD files work fine. Same with WMP. So, before I screw the configuration and de-install what maybe doesn't have to be deinstalled, can it be sth else?

The original problem was that I could not see how or if PowerDVD can suppress subtitles. If it can, how? It's PowerDVD 5.0 for WinXP.

    Thanks,
    Bwion

  2. First of all, make sure you have the latest version of BSPlayer.

Then, go into the player's options, click on the "Video" tree, then you should see the "General" sub-field and a series of check-boxes. Look at the bottom 4 check boxes. The default setting is "Use Overlay Mode 1". If this is not the box that is checked, check it. If it is, just try the others and see if that fixes it.

  3. Hi,

Thanbks for the advise, I have installed BS Player 1.0 RC1 anew .. interestingly it doesn't play anything now. It's either "unable to open file" or the "not valid file format" etc. Since this happens with all files I tried it is not a file problem.

Dunno what to do now. I will probably go back to the older version which at least worked with most of the files.

  4. That's very, very strange.

Yeah, try my previous suggestion with whatever version you can get to work and let me know.
