This might be a silly question but I can't find answers anywhere else...
I read from a site that TMPGENC Plus does not accept Type 2 Microsoft DV AVI and that it only accepts Type 2 Microsoft AVI. I was able to encode using TMPGENC for both, the latter with Panasonic DV Codec. I've been looking at so many clips on TV that my eyes cannot different quality anymore.
Which is better quality then for either VCD or DVD output?
a. the dv avi or
b. the avi (Panasonic)
My eyes are now all crossed and I know any DV cam's avi encodes horribly into VCD but I have to encode VCD for friends with only VCD player for playback on TV.
