Hi everyone -
I have a slew of OGM files in need of conversion to VCD. I found a very helpful tutorial that describes how to convert OGM to SVCD, part of which involves the use of TMPGENC. It was through this tutorial that I learned that as long as you have all of the plugins et al for OGM, TMPGENC will convert OGM files to mpg.
My question is this: if I am just going for VCD, is there any reason I can't just open the OGM file, audio and everything, in TMPGENC and convert right to VCD-compliant mpg? The only drawback I can see is that I am stuck with the DivX watermark on my video - any suggestions on how to get rid of this?
Thanks -
Brian mc

Do you know how I can capture a frame using "The Core" media player?
Thanks for your help -

Actually, after taking a closer look, the DivX watermark fades out after about ten seconds. I suppose this is ok, but I don't know if it would behave the same way when converted to mpg. Have you heard of this before?

You can disable the DivX watermark.
Go to
Start-->Programs--DivX-->DivX Codec-->DivX Configuration Utility.
From the application that starts, go to Quality Settings and there, check the option namedisable Logo.
The more I learn, the more I come to realize how little it is I know.
