  1. I converted 2 avi's using TMPEnc and joined them together, would have joined avi with virtuadub but that led to audio problems, then created the DVD using dvd-lab and burned using Nero. But when i play them on the PS2, the disc is jumpy and freezes at certain parts, when played on an actual DVD player though, there is no problems.

    Using Ritek DVD-R 4x and Sony DRU 510A +/-.

sorry if this is in the wrong forum.

The problem is the PS2 then, its a lousy DVD player if you ask me. I have some DVD-Rs that play perfectly on my Panasonic DVD player but won't even load on the PS2, burnt on Riteks G03s or G04s.

Try upgrading the DVD drivers that came with the remote control if you havent done so already and see if that helps.

  3. ps2s have a diag menu for dvds somewhere, I never found it, but its mentioned a lot & if you can access it perhaps it has an option. Also you can pus setup when playing a dvd & it has playing options. I don't know if these answer what you want but also try wrting your dvds @ 1x.
