    Can I use main concept to go from AVI to DVD?
    when I do that my output file is always out of sync What am i doing wrong please let me know.

    Yes, you can use mainconcept to go from avi to dvd. As far as the out of
    sync problem, load the file in Vdub extract the audio to .wav. Then use
    mainconcept to encode the video only. When you're ready to author the
    dvd use the .wav you created in Vdub and the video you created in
    mainconcept.

    give dvd2svcd a whirl. Might help "solve" the desync issue.
