I want to make a screen capture of a fram from a dvd to make a label for the dvd. When I freeze the video and hit the Print Screen button then paste it to a picture program I get the image of the player with a black screen ?

As discussed here only a couple of days ago in another thread, you probably need to use the capture function on your software DVD player - most usually use an overlay system to display the video which is not capturable in the way you describe. For example, PowerDVD has a button on the control panel with a picture of a camera on it that rather gives its function away.

It does, and it works well too. But don't forget to go into PowerDVD config->advanced and set it up to capture to file. It defaults to Clipboard otherwise and you will never find them!!Originally Posted by garryheather
