can real media files be made into a vcd??

Hey

I am VERY new to creating VCD's, i have Nero Express and want to create a VCD of some Alias clips that i have for Real Player, i would prefer to watch them on my DVD player, is this possible?? I try to add them in Nero and it says the files aren't compatible - is there a way to make them compatible?

I believe taht EOVideo can convert Real files to avi, which can then easily be converted to VCD.
