  1. Hi,

I have captured episodes from VHS to mpeg2, added menus, etc. using Ulead DVD Movie Factory. I need to save all this to disk because it's about 8G, then DVDShrink. However, when trying to save to disk (either iso or just files), Ulead gives me the error [93006:1:0] Cannot create file.

I've used this same system a number of times successfully. The only difference is the size of the project. Plenty of free disk space.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance!

I tried to find the answer on Uleads website. Has anyone else went through that exercise? I saw other posts of the same (or similar) problems. Minor help, major frustration!

Hope you get it figured out.

  3. Looks like you found the problem! In the next day or two, I'll try taking one or two episodes out to see where the cutoff point is.

I wish Ulead would give meaningful answers like this, instead of the "your problems will all disappear when you buy our more expensive stuff" answers. - My opinion.

    Many thanks!

  4. That error is usually fixed by the update at the following FTP:

    ftp://ftp.ulead.com/pub/Updates/DVDPlugin1.0/030815/DVD_PLUGIN_Patch_E_030815.exe

However, I'm not sure I understand what you're attempting to do.

Are you attempting to burn an 8gb file to a 4.37gb DVD disc?

  5. Not exactly. I have tv episodes I want to burn to DVD. My goal is 8 episodes per disk. I know this won't fit natively. So, I want to write the output (including menus) to the HD. Then, I'll use DVDShrink to make it fit the DVD. Eight episodes is my goal, but I may lose too much quality by shrinking that much. I may still have to drop back to maybe 6 episodes per disk. But I wanted to try anyway.

I've used this system with other VHS to DVD conversions, but not with this volume of data.

    Thanks!
