    Hi

    I'm about to join 2 *.avi files and when I put Save as AVI an error message appears saying that I don't have the audio decompressor.
    In the AVIcodec it says that the Audio Decompressor for the both movies is: "AC-3 ACM Decompressor"

    Can anyone tell me what do I have to download exactly so that I can join the two movies?

    Get an ac3 codec, type that in the tools menu and you will get one. Or you could download the gordian knot codec pack and only install the ac3 one.

    If you set virtualdub audio to 'direct stream copy' it shouldn't need the codec. You will still need one if you want to play it though!
