I have tried the new version of flask, and still the same problem, if i flask just a .vob file its ok, but not trying to do the lot in one go?

  4. Im sorry totally misread your post, its late, I need to be in bed...I dont deal with flask, I would try the DVD2AVi->TMPG method

  5. Flask has its own IFO parser. You MUST rip in "File Mode" with Smartripper or all sorts of funny errors can occur under Flask.

  6. Im pretty sure i did rip with that method with smartripper, problem now is i can't do it again, as i dont have a DVD drive, i used a friends and dropped the files on my HDD. But funny thing is, i have ripped a few before and i ripped the second DVD from Star wars and all is ok, this movie DVD from SW is the first one that i am having a problem with? So if in the night of ripping both CDz of SW, the second is ok, but the first not, any ideas?

  8. Ripping in "Movie Mode" is great if you are using the DVD2AVI method. You MUST rip in "File Mode" for FlaskMPEG (for the reasons outlined before).

  11. I copied this movie for a friend of mine just this week, so I can tell you that Smart Ripper had no problem in my case, and i've used the DVD2AVI / TMPGEnc method to create two VCD's and i've even made chapters on it.
heck, I still got the two damn Bin/Cue files from the movie, I should delete it, but I got another friend wanting a copy

  12. Did you do it as "Movie" or "file" mode in smartripper? And does anyone know a good link that shows a walk through how to use "DVD2AVI / TMPGEnc method "

    Thanks

  13. I Ripped the DVD in movie mode, created the D2V/WAV files, and procceded to encode using TMPGEnc using the Source Range to encode in two parts, worked like a charm.

If you can find a more easier guide then mine for Newbie's, let me know, I want to see my competition

  14. When ripping with smartripper as "files" do you need to rip and of the other "un-selected" files? or the files that smartripper have selected are all that is needed (like the movie mode)?

  15. "Movie Mode" is where SmartRipper parses the IFO files and automatically selects the one with the longest playtime (which is invariable the main movie). When it rips it, it just rips that particular title and nothing else (there can be more than one title in a vobset). This is probably the best way of ripping the DVD if you use DVD2AVI.

"File Mode" is where SmartRipper does not parse the IFO file and simple decrypts the CSS used in the vob files. That is, the output files will look exactly the same as the original vob files (in terms of their structure) except that they are now decrypted. This is what FlaskMPEG needs as it parses the IFO file itself. By default, SmartRipper will choose all the files needed for the main movie.

  16. Ok great, cause i have to do it by file mode for flask, so its correct that i dont have to select any other files in smartripper under file mode than what it selects already?

But i guess i still need to copy all the ifo files from the DVD to the dir ready for flask?

  17. From what i've seen in Smart Ripper, when you switch into File Mode, it already has all the Movie VOB files selected, and those are all you need to use with FlaskMPG, or DVDx.
