Just wondering, if dvd-R is more user-friendly than dvd+r for home dvd players?
Also wondering if dvd recorders will copy vhs tapes that are copies made from copyguarded tapes (the copies had the copyguard removed with a black box).
Finally, I'm wondering if the consumer(ie me) isn't into computers, is there any reason not to get the Pioneer recorder with HDD? It seems to do it all - copys vhs, and copys dvd internally. The only drawback I see is not being able to copy copyguarded dvd/vhs (or is there a way)? I also read here that there's annoying picture freeze whereever you edit on the Pioneer, and some say the picture quality is better on the Panasonic E80.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

If the cheaper home recorders are DVD+R is seems a rather desperate attempt to try to achieve market dominance.
Whether buying a recorder, blank media or anything important it's worth remembering that...
