  1. I've been regularly using Tmpgenc Plus to encode movie trailers to mpg format for DVD's and VCD's and it has always worked. However recently everytime I try to encode a quicktime mov to mpg, i get an error message reading "read error occurred at address ###### of module 'tmpgenc.exe' with ######." I have qtreader.vfp at highest priority in vfapi-plugin. I have reinstalled the software. I have even tried RAD tools to convert to avi and then tried encoding the avi file to mpg. Can anyone help?

  2. Your MOV file might be MPEG-4 in a MOV package.

The 3ivX package has DShow filters that can demux these (if it is MPEG-4 inside MOV). Installing the 3ivX does make the MP4 format readable through directshow on TMPGEnc, but i havn't tried a MOV file yet.
