wwhy wont backup play

an origanal DVD i bought wont play in my standalone DVD player so i tried to use dvd decrypter to make a backup onto the media my player plays with noo problems but it just does the same as the origanal, anyone any ideas...........both discs do play on my second,cheaper player any other disc works perfectlon the same media

maybe the dvd player is just more sensitive than your cheaper one, and there is something that is non-compliant on the dvds (original and backup). other than that, i cant think of anything else.

Have you tried a lense cleaner on the standalone ?
