  1. Can anyone help ? I am converting some Real Media video files (.rm) to .avi files, but I'm having a few issues. I am using the TINRA GUI application and can convert the files. However when I play them as .avi files in media player I just get sound and no pictures.

I have tried changing the compression rates, I ususally use uncompressed and different versions of real player but no success.

    Can anyone suggest anything ?

    Thanks,

  2. I'd suggest you not bother. RM files are variable frame rate. AVI can't do variable frame rate. That's part of the reason you're having audio problems. Maybe somebody else knows a better way than TINRA.

  4. If it's a fairly old *.rm file then you might want to give EO Video a try. I've had some ok conversions when I used that program. Don't expect too much because like a lot of people say on this board "garbage in = garbage out".
