What format/setup gives the best chance of playing?

Hi all,

Being a newbie I am trying to burn disks which will work with a particularly fussy player. (It's an in car player.)

Would I be correct in saying that a DVD-r UDF/ISO disk, using UDF 1.02 and a slow burn rate on good media gives me the best hope?
