  1. I'm trying to merge a two-disk movie to copy to one DVDR. After getting all the VOBs and joining them with VOB Edit, I end up with 12 VOB files (12 GB). I then created IFO files using IFO Edit and it shows 60 chapters.

Using DVDShirik it stops at the point where it goes from VOB_1_09 to VOB_1_10 with an error saying error opening file. If I try to play it from HD it plays fine until it gets to the point where VOB_1_09 transitions to VOB_1_10 and stops.

Is there a problem having more than 9 VOB files? IFO Edit seems to see them all, but I cannot get the resulting files to play all the way through or burn correctly to a DVDR.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  2. DVD2One 130 or 140 can join titles seamless

DVD Shrink wont be able to shrink 12GB to 4.37GB anyway

The DVD specifications call for your filenames to follow a 8.3 format. This means 8 characters, followed with a period, and a three lettered extension. VOB_1_10.VOB is out of specs by it's 9.3 format. The only exception besides 8.3 is using 10.3. VOBedit can use filenames like VTS_01_001.VOB, VTS_01_002.VOB, etc.

DVD Shrink is very strict on analyzing the DVD Structure.

Tompika is correct, rip each disk to separate directory. DVD2ONE 1.30 can join them if they were ripped in ifo/movie mode,1.30 doesn't require file mode rips. I'm fairly certain that ver 1.40 does require file mode.
VOBEDIT/IDOEDIT won't work because your have over 9GB's of vob files.
9 vob's is the limit unless you use more than one directory.
