I'm trying to create my first menu in TSCV. I had thus far followed the instructions for capturing the video in VirtualDub using multi-segment capturing, frameserving in TMPGenc and encoding, and demultiplexing in TMPGenc and remultiplexing in BBMPEG (which the how to guides said would enable me to scan forward and back on my standalone DVD play, but it didn't work.) I installed everything where it needed to be in TSVC and started the process of creating the menu.

I got through the settings part all right. I left the VFAPI box unchecked in the settings tab, because I had no idea what it did and it wasn't mentioned in the "how to" guide off this website (though it is in the Martini guide, but I was trying to keep it simple--on this website, that box isn't even in the picture of the settings screen.) Then added a main menu and a chapter index in the menu tab, then selected my MPEG under the chapter index. However, when I attempted to go into the chapters tab after adding my MPEG, I got an error in German. ("ist Kein gultiger glesk Kommawert" I believe, though I scribbled it down and now can't read my own writing so it may not be exact.)

Does anyone know what this is? I burned a sample of the MPEG without the menu and it looked great--all that's lacking is the finishing touches like the menus and seeing if my machine will autoplay it.

not to be obnoxious, but I'm bumping this back up to the top so it doesn't get missed.
