Can anyone help. I encoded an avi film using TMPGEnc and it plays fine only the svcd ends just over a minute before the avi ends ie the svcd version is 69 seconds shorter than the avi. This may not sound alot but as the film is in two halves the 1st and 2nd cds don't match up. Any ideas? Please bear in mind that I am an extreme newbie!!

Just a guess, but you might run the AVI through Virtualdub and check for bad frames.

Cheers for that but I have already tried vdub and vdmp3 freeze to check for frozen or undecodable frames but all frames seem good.
I have actually joined the two half avi's together and encoded as a whole film using AVI2SVCD and it all seems fine - but I would still be interested to know what went wrong for future reference if anyone knows.
Many thanx
