  1. Has anyone had this problem? I formatted and reinstalled WindowsXP and now InstantCopy8 doesnt show my DVD-RW in the destination.

I've tried all these fixes so far with no luck.

1). Updated version to patch from Pinnacle site.
2). Updated the 'RecorderUpdate' file from Pinnacle website.
3). Updated the ASPI layers from Adaptec site.
4). Removed all other burning applications from the PC.
5). Removed some registry entrys as instructed on the Pinnacle website.
6). Logged a call with Pinnacle tech support.

I just thought someone might have an idea about this one straight up?

    I am running a Pioneer DVR-106D on WindowsXP SP-1.

    Thanks.

  2. Considering it worked before the reinstall of Windows I didn't think the firmware would make a difference.

However, I'm running 1.07 from the Pioneer website.

I also tried using the 'hacked' firmware to allow 12x ripping. The DVD-RW works in other burning programs though, so it hasn't been fried in a firmware upgrade or anything.

  4. OK,

Well after formatting, reinstalling and turning off the RAID that I had setup between two SATA drives (using SIL Silicon Image RAID) and reinstalling all seems to be working OK.

I don't quite understand how having RAID setup between two SATA drives would effect InstantCopy, but jeez... how ridiculous!

Thanks for your help anyway folks..

    Ben.

  5. I've been having problems with RW's and instant copy. FYI The latest version of DVDdecrypter now will burn the PDI files.

I believe you have to install the recorder update registry file in order for your dvd burner to show up in the destination window
