    Why do I keep getting...



    Whenever I click on Start | Programs | QuickTime Alternative | QuickTime Settings in W98SE

    It works just fine on my W2K machine but not on the W98SE one. It is a completely bog standard default installation of W98SE as well - nothing customised or weird about it.

    Execute "control.exe" file directly from your 'Start -> Run' box so the Control Panel window will open. Find the Quicktime settings there...?
    That file may have been deleted or corrupted....

    Okay no worries thanks. Turns out that control.exe in W98SE is located in Windows\ whilst the shortcut the QT Alternative sets up specifies Windows\System\ for it.

    I just changed it manually and all works now as it should.
